Game 3 of 4A district play paired up the Lake Worth Lady Frogs and the Bridgeport Sissies Friday January 12, 2024. Sissies owned the girls in green with a gentle 61-16 win in Lake Worth's own house.
Bridgeport ended the first quarter with a conservative lead but added 43 points to the board in the second and third to Lake Worth's 6.
Gracie Rodriguez (Jr.) ruined the Frog fans night with with 30 points, Pyper Newlin (Jr.) put 11 points on the board, Aaliyah DeHoyos (Sr.) added 5, Rayna Mathes (Sr.) with 4, and Taryn Keener (Jr.) landed a high sailing 3 -energizing a team that was already cooking. Brooke Case (Fr.), Anna Green (Jr.), Joceyln Vidal (Sr.) and Kalista Holley (Sr.) all put their names in the books contributing to the big win over Lake Worth.
Gracie Rodriguez lead the team in rebounds with 15 total. Anna Green and Taryn Keener kept the ball in the hands of the Sissies with 5 and 4 rebounds respectively.
Game 4 will be Tuesday, January 16 at Bridgeport vs the Springtown Porcupines at 6:15.
